This book about the Festival of Flanders presents a complete story about the collaboration between musicians, organizations and governments in practicing, organizing and mapping the cultural sector. It offers a unique insight into the Flemish cultural pioneering work of the past 50 years.
Publisher LannooCampus asked us to design the inside pages of this book. The text is richly illustrated with archive images that depict the history (and future) of the Festival. Each chapter received its own characteristic colour from a palette that reflects the atmosphere of classical music. The colour is also used highlighted text passages, bleeding over the edge of the book, to complement the often black and white images.
